Youth & High School Football
As part of the Coach of the Week presented by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution program, the NFL and Atlanta Falcons will recognize ten (10) head high school varsity tackle and girls flag football coaches across the states of Georgia and Alabama for their hard work and dedication to making a difference in student-athletes lives on and off the field.
Over the past six years, the Atlanta Falcons and The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation have worked tirelessly to elevate the sport of girls flag football to be sanctioned across the United States to promote gender equality in sports offered at the high school level. It has become one of the fastest growing sports and other states are following the Falcons' lead.
The Atlanta Falcons Youth Football Camps will be held throughout the year all over the state of Georgia.
Atlanta Falcons Trailblazer Award presented by Georgia Power
The Atlanta Falcons Trailblazer Award recognizes a Georgia high school student-athlete who has gone above and beyond to contribute to her girls flag football team on the field, while making an impact in the community. The Atlanta Falcons will accept rolling nominations throughout the season and honor the finalists at Atlanta Falcons home games. Please note, only high school football coaches, Athletic Directors and Principals may submit a nomination.
Atlanta Falcons High School Man of the Year Award presented by Georgia Power
Modeled after one of the most prestigious awards in the NFL, the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, the Atlanta Falcons will honor high school football student athletes who embody excellence on and off the field. The Atlanta Falcons will accept rolling nominations throughout the season and honor the finalists at Atlanta Falcons home games. Please note, only high school football coaches, Athletic Directors and Principals may submit a nomination.
