This week the Falcons are hosting a clinic and the GACA All-Star games at their facility in Flowery Branch in celebration of the inaugural girls flag football week. 

On Saturday, August 20, the Atlanta Falcons hosted a free girls flag football clinic in Missoula, Montana for the three high schools that are piloting girls high school flag football this season. Over 70 young women came out to participate in the NFL FLAG and Atlanta Falcons Legends led clinic!

This award is part of the ongoing efforts to support the rapid growth of girls flag football in Georgia. Additionally, SCANA Energy and the Falcons have collaborated on other initiatives supporting the sport, including supplying new cleats and gloves to high school teams.

The Atlanta Falcons, GHSA and the Georgia House of Representatives hosted a press event at Mercedes-Benz Stadium to celebrate the growth of girls flag football in the state and the passage of House Resolution 347, a bipartisan Resolution which urges all Georgia high schools to establish girls flag football programs. The House Resolution, which passed unanimously, is the first piece of legislation related to girls flag football to be passed in the country.

The Atlanta Falcons' strong commitment to growing the game of football has only intensified over the past several years. In an announcement made at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Wednesday, just prior to the Girls Flag Football Summit and championship games, Georgia will become the fourth state to make girls flag football an officially sanctioned high school sport in the state of Georgia.
