The Atlanta Falcons today announced that they have waived FB Patrick DiMarco, LB Robert James, WR Darius Johnson, CB Jordan Mabin, G Phillipkeith Manley, G/C Jacques McClendon, WR Martel Moore, DT Adam Replogle, and WR James Rodgers.
DiMarco, 6-1, 234 pounds, was originally signed by the San Diego Chargers as a college free agent out of South Carolina following the 2011 NFL Draft. He played in five games with four starts as a member of the Kansas City Chiefs in 2012.
James, 5-11, 224 pounds, was selected as a fifth round (138th pick overall) draft choice by Atlanta in 2008. In five seasons in Atlanta, he spent time as a member of the Falcons practice squad and on the active roster.
Johnson, 5-10, 175 pounds, was signed by the Falcons as a college free agent out of Southern Methodist on April 29, 2013. He was named the MVP in back-to-back bowl games for the Mustangs, including the 2011 BVAA Compass Bowl.
Mabin, 5-11, 180 pounds, was originally signed as a college free agent by the Baltimore Ravens out of Northwestern following the 2012 NFL Draft. He spent time as a practice squad player for the Ravens prior to signing with the Cleveland Browns for the final week of the 2012 season.
Manley, 6-5, 309 pounds, was signed by the Falcons as a college free agent out of Toledo on April 30, 2012. He was a member of the Falcons practice squad before finishing the season on the club's active roster.
McClendon, 6-3, 324 pounds, was originally selected in the fourth round (129th pick overall) by the Indianapolis Colts in the 2010 NFL Draft. He was a member of the Falcons practice squad during the 2012 season.
Moore, 6-0, 183 pounds, was signed by the Falcons as a college free agent on April 29, 2013 out of Northern Illinois. He finished his career at NIU ranking second in school history with 2,544 receiving yards and 24 touchdown catches.
Replogle, 6-3, 294 pounds, was signed by the Falcons as a college free agent out of Indiana on April 29, 2013. He posted 184 tackles (95 solo), 28.5 tackles for loss, 15 sacks, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery during his four seasons with the Hoosiers.
Rodgers, 5-7, 188 pounds, was signed by the Falcons as a college free agent out of Oregon State on April 30, 2012. He was a member of the Falcons practice squad in 2012.
The Falcons roster now sits at 53 players as required by the NFL. Atlanta may establish an eight-player practice squad beginning at noon Sunday, Sept. 1.
