Falcons Place CB Alford on Injured Reserve

The Atlanta Falcons today announced that they have placed cornerback Robert Alford on injured reserve.

Alford, 5-10, 186 pounds, was selected by the Falcons in the second round (60th overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft out of Southeastern Louisiana. He has played in 23 games with 15 starts while totaling 79 tackles (61 solo), five interceptions, one forced fumble, and 19 passes defensed. Alford posted 36 tackles (25 solo) with three interceptions and 11 passes defensed in 10 games this season.
