The Atlanta Falcons today announced that they have signed offensive lineman Gabe Carimi.
Carimi, 6-7, 316 pounds, was originally selected by the Chicago Bears in the first round (29th overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft. He spent two seasons in Chicago seeing action in 18 games with 16 starts before being traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers prior to the 2013 season. Carimi played in 14 games with three starts last season. He won the Outland trophy as the nation's top interior lineman and was an All-America selection as a senior at Wisconsin.
