FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. – Falcons linebacker LaRoy Reynolds will return to practice this week after suffering a chest injury that placed him on short-term injured reserve to start the season.
The earliest Reynolds could return to game action is Week 9, when the Falcons travel to Charlotte to take on the Carolina Panthers on Nov. 5 for their first division game of the season.
At that point, Reynolds would either need to return to the active roster or he will be placed on IR for the remainder of the season.
Reynolds is one of Atlanta's special teams' aces and he also provides depth at linebacker.
Reynolds has seen action in 59 games with seven starts as a member of the Falcons, Bears and Jaguars. Last season, he played in all 16 games, seeing action on defense and special teams.
After originally signing with the Jaguars as a college free agent following the 2013 NFL Draft, Reynolds spent time with the Bears in 2015 and was signed by the Falcons on March 16, 2016.
