FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. – The Falcons added a return specialist and running back in Kenjon Barner. The Falcons have yet to solidify their No. 2 running back spot and although it's likely to be Ito Smith, Barner will certainly compete for the job.
Atlanta has a need to fill at returner and Barner fits the bill. He's returned 37 punts for 288 yards and 31 kickoffs for 718 yards in his career.

1. He was once a Heisman Trophy contender
Barner is practically a legend at the University of Oregon. He holds the single-game rushing record (321 yards against USC in 2012) and ranks third in school history in career rushing yards with 3,623 yards. After his performance in the 2012 season, Barner was named a Heisman Trophy finalist that was eventually won by Johnny Manziel.
2. He's a family man
Barner is one proud father. When he's not playing football, he's spending time with his son, Kingston.

Barner was also a member of Oregon's track & field team, specializing in the 4x100-meter relay in 2011 and by the looks at the way he's moving his feet in this video it appears his track days paid off.
