On Friday, June 24 and Saturday, June 25, Falcons S Ricardo Allen, CB Akeem King and OG Ben Garland will be in Hamilton, Ont., where they'll attend the Hamilton 5-on-5 Flag Football League playoffs.
Joining the players will be Jen Walter, the first female coach in NFL history. Together, they'll hold a Q&A with local coaches, hold an on-field clinic and meet the 450 youth flag football players.
Many of these players are young women, as are two of the coaches. The league has experienced a large growth among female participants in the 12-13-year-old division; the all-girls team in the 10-11-year-old division recently won back-to-back titles.
The Falcons are joining forces with the flag football league that encourages Canada to embrace the NFL's Play 60 program, which teaches children to be active for at least 60 minutes every day.
