The Atlanta Falcons today announced that they have released defensive end Jamaal Anderson and wide receiver Michael Jenkins.
Anderson, 6-6, 291 pounds, was originally drafted by the Falcons in the first round (8th overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft. In his four seasons in Atlanta, he totaled 142 tackles (104 solo), 3.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and nine passes defensed.
Jenkins, 6-4, 214 pounds, was originally drafted by the Falcons in the first round (29th overall) of the 2004 NFL Draft. In seven seasons with the Falcons, (103 games) Jenkins totaled 276 receptions for 3,487 yards and 20 touchdowns.
