Falcons Add Veteran Tackle Trueblood

The Atlanta Falcons today announced that they have signed tackle Jeremy Trueblood, waived tackle Terren Jones, and reached an injury settlement with guard Phillipkeith Manley.

Trueblood, 6-8, 320 pounds, was originally selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the second round (59th overall) of the 2006 NFL Draft. He has played in 101 games with 84 starts in seven NFL seasons. Trueblood made 36 starts during his career at Boston College from 2002-05, earning second-team All-ACC honors in 2005.

Jones, 6-7, 341 pounds, was signed by the Falcons as a college free agent out of Alabama State on April 29, 2013. He was a three-time All-SWAC performer and an AFCA All-American following his senior season.

Manley, 6-5, 309 pounds, was signed by the Falcons as a college free agent out of Toledo on April 30, 2012. He served as a member of the Falcons practice squad before finishing the season on the club's active roster.
