ATLANTA -- Tevin Coleman crashed through the Cowboys' defensive line for a 1-yard touchdown to cap a nine-play, 80-yard drive for the Falcons, giving them a 10-7 lead in the closing minutes of the first half.
Coleman had some help from defensive tackle Dontari Poe, who made a guest appearance at fullback for the Falcons' offense, drawing loud cheers from the crowd at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The scoring drive was reminiscent of what we'd become so accustomed to seeing from Matt Ryan and the rest of the offense.

Beginning at their own 20-yard line, the Falcons began the drive with a reverse handoff to Taylor Gabriel who followed a great block by Austin Hooper and picked up 15 yards. One play later, Tevin Coleman gashed the Cowboys' stout defense for a 19-yard gain, and a face mask penalty tacked on another 15 yards to the end of the run.
In just three plays, the Falcons gained 49 yards and reminded everyone why they are so dangerous.
Atlanta had six first downs on the touchdown drive and converted the one third down it faced, extending the drive with a 14-yard pass to Mohamed Sanu on third-and-6. The Falcons displayed the level of balance head coach Dan Quinn wants to see from his unit, running the ball six times for 37 yards and throwing it four times for 19 yards.
