FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- The Falcons are trending in the right direction injury-wise as they continue their preparation for this weekend's game against the Panthers.
Julio Jones was the only player to sit out Thursday's practice as he continues to deal with hip and rib injuries. Coach Dan Quinn said earlier in the afternoon that the star receiver would participate in the walkthrough.
"I'm day-to-day," Jones said. "I hurt it during the game. I'm day to day. So it's just, I'm getting better. Working every day and doing everything I can do go Sunday. Who knows what's going to happen. I can't give you anything right now, I'm just working to get better and we'll see what happens Sunday."
Cornerback Desmond Trufant is trending upwards as he practiced in a limited capacity on Thursday after missing Wednesday's practice.
