The Atlanta Falcons announced Tuesday evening that safety J.J. Wilcox has been designated Reserve/Injured.
Wilcox went to the turf on a non-contact play during the first day of AT&T Atlanta Falcons Training Camp, and coach Dan Quinn confirmed Tuesday that the safety suffered a season-ending ACL tear.
"With J.J., it ended up being a season-ending injury, where he had an ACL (tear)," Quinn said Tuesday. "... Any time you get the news, that bad news call or conversation with the doc, it's hard. A number of teammates and coaches reached out to him. In a short time he's made a big impact."
