Falcons coach Dan Quinn said Friday that starting cornerback Desmond Trufant would be out for the second consecutive game due to a toe injury, and that was confirmed Sunday afternoon when the list of the team's inactive players was announced.
With Trufant sidelined, the Falcons will likely once again turn to rookie Kendall Sheffield to start in his place. Sheffield had a good debut against the Arizona Cardinals, and Quinn said he was impressed with the first-year player on the outside.
