Falcons Sign RB Medlin

The Atlanta Falcons today announced that they have signed running back Richard Medlin.

Medlin, 5-11, 200 pounds was originally signed by the New England Patriots as a college free agent on August 3, 2011. He was signed to the Miami Dolphins practice squad in September and promoted to the active roster for the 2011 season finale. Medlin played collegiately at Division II Fayetteville State University where he rushed for 2,792 yards and 28 touchdowns in four seasons. As a senior in 2010, he ran for 843 yards on 144 carries with five touchdowns and averaged 5.4 yards per carry.
