Injury report: Latest update on Falcons' Vic Beasley, Ryan Schraeder, Courtney Upshaw

ATLANTA -- The Falcons began preparations for their road matchup against the Detroit Lions on Sunday without the services of three players who suffered injuries in Week 2: Ryan Schraeder (concussion), Vic Beasley (hamstring) and Courtney Upshaw (ankle/knee).

While there's no timetable for return for these players, Falcons coach Dan Quinn has already ruled out Beasley for Sunday's game.

Beasley suffered a hamstring injury early in the third quarter of the Falcons' 34-23 win over Green Bay.

Quinn called Beasley's injury a "strain" and wouldn't put a timeline on his return.

"I know he'll miss this week," Quinn said. "And past that, we'll see where it goes, if he's able to make it back in time for the next game, and then we have a bye. So we'll see where it goes.''

With Beasley sidelined, rookie first-round draft pick Takkarist McKinley will start in his place.

Schraeder left the field on Altanta's opening drive and was diagnosed as a concussion. Recently acquired tackle Ty Sambrailo filled in for Schraeder at right tackle, and will do so until Schraeder returns to action.
