AtlantaFalcons.com managing editor Jay Adams gives his three takeaways of the day throughout training camp:

## Talented defense showing up

The Falcons' defense has been impressive through the first two days of camp. There have been some big pass breakups, some holes blown up at the line and a ton of intensity from the defensive side of the ball. While it's not enough to say the defense has an edge over the offense right now, it is exciting to see the defense showing up ready to play.

## Rookies look like anything but

There's always a learning curve during the first few days of camp for all players, but even more so for rookies. So far, it has looked like they don't need it. The rookie class is turning some heads, especially Sean Weatherspoon and Corey Peters. Even Emmanuel Stephens, an undrafted rookie, picked off a pass during Saturday's afternoon session. Oh, yeah, and he's a defensive end.

## Always come prepared

The first two days of camp have offered some interesting weather. We saw on Saturday on quickly it can change as a bad storm blew through the facility during the afternoon session. The team retreated to the fieldhouse to finish practice. We've also seen some extreme heat here. Make sure to look at the weather and come prepared with an umbrella or sun block, if they're needed.
