Jones Cooks Up New Restaurant Project

Julio Jones has officially entered the restaurant business.

The star wide receiver on Thursday agreed to a partnership with Latitude 360, self-described as a chain known for "upscale casual dining." The agreement gives Jones a minority stake in future venues in Alabama and Georgia. The first location is scheduled to open in Buford, Ga.

"This is an exciting investment and partnership enabling Latitude 360 to expand into Alabama and Georgia, two states that are very important to me," Jones said in a press release.

Latitude 360's restaurants are known for unique entertainment options — including dine-in movie theaters, cigar lounges, bowling and game rooms. It's already established locations in Pittsburgh, Indianapolis and Jacksonville, Fla., the company's home city.

"We're pleased to partner with Julio Jones, a celebrated athlete and personality in his hometown of Alabama as well as his current home in Georgia," said Brent Brown, CEO of Latitude 360. "Mr. Jones shares our enthusiasm for our proven concept in dining and entertainment. These new locations will join Indianapolis, Pittsburgh and Jacksonville as well as planned locations in New York, Boston, Albany and Minneapolis."
