NFLPA 2025 Report Card: Atlanta Falcons among top-ranked teams

After significant improvements to their facilities, the Falcons made major jumps in the rankings, including a perfect score for head coach Raheem Morris.

INDIANAPOLIS — The NFLPA released report cards for every single team in the league Wednesday morning, ranking each based on player responses and scores of facilities, staff, ownership and much more. The Atlanta Falcons made one of the most significant jumps from last year to this year, going from an overall ranking of No. 25 out of 32 teams following the 2023 season to No. 3 overall this year.

Here is a complete look at how the Falcons players ranked the organization, according to the NFLPA.

Treatment of families: A (2nd out of 32 teams)

NFLPA notes: "Players rate the post-game family area 9.25 out of 10, ranking them 1 out of 32 teams. The players feel that the team frequently organizes family events, a ranking of 6 out of 32."

Food and dining area: A (5th)

NFLPA notes: After significant improvements and renovations to the team's cafeteria last year, the players "rate their dining area 9.52 out of 10, ranking it 4th out of 32 NFL team dining areas.

Nutrition/dietician: A (3rd)

NFLPA notes: "The players are very complimentary of their team dietician, saying: he is the 'best I've ever worked with' and 'wish he had more budget to work with.'"

Locker room: A+ (2nd)

NFLPA notes: The locker room was a major part of the team's renovations last season. The locker room as it stands now is double the size of what it was previous with "100% of players feeling that the locker room size is adequate, making the Falcons one of five teams in the NFL with a perfect score."

Training room: B (12th)

NFLPA notes: "96% of Falcons players feel they have enough full-time trainers, ranking them 3 out of 32 teams. 74% of players believe they have enough full-time physical therapists, a rank of 26 out of 32. The players would like at least one more physical therapist on staff."

Training staff: A- (6th)

NFLPA notes: "Players believe the training staff moderately contributes to their overall success, ranking them 3 of 32."

Weight room: A+ (2nd)

NFLPA notes: The weight room expansion was arguably the biggest endeavor of the organization last year. The space is now a the two-story strength and conditioning center. Perks of the space include 14 full cage racks, all equipped with iPad technology that measures bar speed and peak velocity of reps. There is also a 30-yard track for mobility exercises, as well as a second floor with more cardio equipment. "Players believe that the weight room equipment is high quality, ranking them 1 out of 32 teams."

Strength coaches: A (7th)

NFLPA notes: Players had high praise for John Griffin and his staff that was hired last offseason. "The players are very complimentary of their new staff compared to their previous one saying: 'they do an excellent job' and 'it is 100x better than it was with the prior staff.'"

Team travel: B+ (13th)

NFLPA notes: "Players believe their team's travel schedule is very efficient, a rank of 2 out of 32 teams."

Head coach: A+ (2nd)

NFLPA notes: "100% of Falcons players believe head coach Raheem Morris is efficient with their time. He is one of six coaches across the league to receive a perfect score from their players. Players feel Morris is highly receptive to locker room feedback on the team's needs, ranking him 2 out of 32 head coaches in the league."

Ownership: A+ (2nd)

NFLPA notes: "Owner Arthur Blank's average rating for perceived willingness to invest in the facilities is 9.82 out of 10, a ranking of 3 out of 32 owners in the league. The players believe that ownership significantly contributes to a positive team culture, a rank of 2 out of 32."
