According to a report tweeted by NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, the news regarding Bennett is not good. Per Rapoport, Bennett suffered a broken ankle during the team's first practice and will remain out indefinitely.
This would be another blow to a defensive line that lost defensive end Steven Means to a torn Achilles during organized team activities (OTA). Bennett looked to be one of the players competing for a primary role in Atlanta's defensive line rotation for the 2019 season.
Bennett played two games for the Falcons in 2018, recording five tackles, including one tackle for a loss.
