FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- When Dontari Poe checked in for the 2017 AT&T Atlanta Falcons Training Camp on Wednesday, he did so at the weight limit he needed to be at in order to receive a $125,000 bonus, according to a report by ESPN's Adam Schefter.
This isn't the first time Poe needed to make weight, though.
Poe's first weigh-in occurred during Atlanta's mandatory minicamp, where the defensive tackle made sure he was where the Falcons needed him to be, ultimately cashing in, according to reports.
Not only have the Falcons been impressed with Poe strength-wise, he's earned the respect of his coaches and teammates in the locker room heading into training camp.
Poe has widely been proclaimed as the Falcons' best offseason acquisition for not only what he brings to Atlanta's defensive line individually, but for what he'll do for the guys playing alongside of him.
