On Dunta Robinson's status:

"Well, Dunta was out today because of a tight hamstring. He's going to be just like all of our guys — Todd McClure, Tony Gonzalez. We're going to manage those guys and, right now, we're going to see how he feels tomorrow and if he'll be ready to go."

Impressions of Dominique Franks:

"He's got his hands on a lot of balls. He really has, and it's been impressive. I think he's come a long way in terms of understanding our scheme from OTAs and the mini-camp that we had in May and June."

On working on limiting penalties during training camp:

"We make sure that we're playing within the confines of the rules with the hand play that takes place in the secondary with your offensive receivers and your defensive backs. Sometimes it's difficult to practice because we don't have officials out here, but it's something that we are definitely talking about. You'll hear me, you'll hear coaches: 'Don't grab! Don't grab!' 'Watch your hand play.' Some of the young guys still believe that they're in college and they can contact the receiver down the field, and in the NFL you've got the opportunity to get one shot within the first 5 yards, so it's something that we're going to continue to stress and something we stress all the time."

Update on Colin Peek, Brian Finneran and Matt Giordano:

"Matt worked some today, so we're anticipating that we'll continue to monitor him and see if we can get him back. It was really good to see Brian back out here with his back spasms. He was moving around, helping the wide receivers and helping [wide receivers coach Terry] Robiskie."
