Weather could be a factor today during the Falcons-Jets game

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – There was a steady drizzle coming down at MetLife Stadium late Sunday morning as the Falcons and Jets began warming up prior to their 1 p.m. ET game.

Not a big deal, really, but what's heading toward the region could be a factor during the game.

There's a 100 percent chance of rain all day Sunday, according to weather.com, and by 3 p.m. ET, it's supposed to turn into heavy rain. The winds, which are currently around 12 mph, are also expected to pick up and by 4 p.m., there are 20 mph gusts in the forecast.

During the week, Falcons special teams coach Keith Armstrong said he was aware of the weather forecast for East Rutherford and that his units prepared for the adverse conditions, including using wet balls during practice.
