Falcons and Braves Collide
April 1, 2013 marks the opening day of the Major League Baseball season for the Atlanta Braves. We look back at a few instances when the two worlds collided.

Brian Jordan played defensive back for the Falcons from 1989-1991 and with the Braves from 1998-2002.

Jordan (40) led the Falcons in tackles in 1991 and was voted as an NFC alternate for the Pro Bowl that season.

An infamous two-sport athlete, Deion Sanders split time between the Braves and the Falcons in the 90s.

Sanders is the only two-sport athlete to hit a MLB home run and score an NFL touchdown in the same week.

Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan threw out the first pitch on June 16, 2010 when the Braves took on the Rays

Braves pitcher Tim Hudson stopped by the Falcons' 2010 win over Baltimore

Braves and hall-of-fame pitcher Phil Niekro stopped by Flowery Branch to take in a day of training camp last year.
