Tony Gonzalez has established a Hall of Fame career by breaking records from his early years to the final games of his career.

Gonzalez holds a number of NFL records at the tight end position, including most career receiving yards, most career receptions, most touchdown catches, most 100-yard receiving games and most 1,000 yard seasons. He is the NFL's second leading receiver overall.

In 2013, Gonzalez became just the third player in NFL history to catch a touchdown pass in 17 different seasons.

In his first regular season game with the Atlanta Falcons, Tony Gonzalez caught a TD pass from QB Matt Ryan and became the 21st player and the first tight end in NFL history with 11,000 receiving yards. He finished the game leading the Falcons in receiving with 5 receptions for 73 yards and one touchdown. His 20-yard TD reception marking only the third time he scored in the opening game of the season.

In the 2010 regular season opener against the Steelers, Gonzalez made his 1000th career reception, making him the seventh player in NFL history to do so and the first tight end.

On December 8, 2013, Gonzalez caught three passes for 25 yards, giving him 14,946 career-receiving yards. He passed WR Tim Brown (14,934) to move into fifth place on the NFL's all time receiving list at Green Bay on December 8, 2013.

On January 2, 2005, Tony Gonzalez caught 14 passes for 144 yards while setting a Chiefs single-game record and breaking the NFL season record for catches (with 102) by a tight end.

On September 29, 2013, Gonzalez caught 12 passes for a career-high 149 yards with two touchdowns vs. New England.

Gonzalez caught his 100th career touchdown on November 11, 2012 in a Week 10 game against the Saints, becoming the only tight end in NFL history to catch 100 TD passes.

Gonzalez broke his own NFL record, posting his 16th straight season with at least 50 receptions at Tampa Bay on November 17, 2013. Gonzalez joined WR Jerry Rice as the only two players in NFL history to post 16 sesaons with 50+ catches.

On January 13, 2013, Gonzalez won the first playoff game of his career when the Falcons defeated the Seattle Seahawks 30-28.

Falcons TE Tony Gonzalez made history in 2011 moving into second place on the NFL's all-time receptions list with a two-yard catch in the second quarter of Atlanta's Week 7 win over the Detroit Lions.

On December 30, 2007, TE Tony Gonzalez passed Shannon Sharpe for most receptions all time by a tight end.
