FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — When the Philadelphia Eagles punched their ticket to the Super Bowl with a win against the Washington Commanders Sunday afternoon, it meant a certain Falcons running back also punched his way into the 2025 Pro Bowl Games.
Bijan Robinson will replace Eagles running back Saquon Barkley at the Pro Bowl Games later this week in Orlando, Florida.
Robinson was voted a first alternate behind NFC running backs Barkley, Jahmyr Gibbs (Detroit Lions) and Josh Jacobs (Green Bay Packers). He will join fellow Falcons representatives Chris Lindstrom and KhaDarel Hodge at the Pro Bowl Games.
This recognition comes after a league-topping year for Robinson. The second-year back recorded 1,456 rushing yards, which ranked third in the NFL at the conclusion of the regular season. He averaged 4.8 yards per carry and led the league in missed tackles forced with 117. Robinson was also ranked No. 3 in the league with 728 yards after contact.
For the third-straight season, the Falcons' rushing attack surpassed 2,000-yards rushing on the season. Robinson made up nearly 70% of that total.
Robinson had 365 touches in 2024, which ranked second in the league behind the man he'll be filling in for at the Pro Bowl Games — Barkley. Barkley was No. 1 in yards from scrimmage with 2,283 yards (2,005 rushing), while Robinson was fourth with 1,887 yards.
What's more, Robinson made his way into league's all-time record books. Since entering the league, Robinson has had 32 career games with at least 50 scrimmage yards. That total ties Pro Football Hall of Famers Edgerrin James and LaDainian Tomlinson for the most games with at least 50 scrimmage yards by a player in his first two seasons in NFL history.
The 2025 Pro Bowl Games will be broadcast on ESPN, ABC and Disney+, and can be streamed on ESPN.com, ESPN+, NFL+ and FuboTV.
The games begin on Thursday, Jan. 30 (which is also Robinson's birthday) with the skills challenges starting at 7 p.m. ET. Other skill competitions and the flag football game will begin at 3 p.m. ET on Sunday, Feb. 2, at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.
