FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The 2025 free agency period is about to begin. The moves made in the coming weeks will alter the NFL landscape and provide teams the opportunity to improve their future outlook.
The official start of the new league year is March 12 at 4 p.m. ET. At that time, free agents can officially sign contracts with new teams. The legal tampering window, a two-day period when team personnel can begin discussions with agents, starts on March 10. During this time, teams and free agents can announce they have agreed to terms on a contract, but official signings cannot be announced until after the start of the new league year.
