Falcons owner and chairman Arthur Blank has issued the following statement on the passing of Oakland Raiders owner Al Davis:
"Al Davis was an iconic figure on the professional football landscape who pushed all of us to view the game of football from many dimensions. He was a unique man whose passion, allegiance and loyalty for the Raiders is unquestioned, and he will forever be remembered as one of pro football's most colorful and influential figures. Al's many contributions to our great game has helped professional football become the number-one sport in America. His legacy is multifaceted.
The Falcons join the rest of the National Football League in extending our deepest condolences to the Davis family and the Raider Nation."
