Each month during the 2012 season, the Atlanta Falcons will select a player who has participated in community activities, shown a commitment to giving back to the community and/or went above and beyond on a particular visit. The Atlanta Falcons Community All-Star can be any player on the Falcons roster.
The Atlanta Falcons Community All-Star for September is WR Kevin Cone. Cone participated in a community activity each week during the month of September, including the Gwinnett County Fire Station in commemoration of September 11, the Shepherd Pathways Center and the Falcons First Down for Fitness kick-off at Berkmar Middle School in Lilburn.
"Giving back to the community is just something I love to do. The opportunity to brighten somebody's day or pick someone's spirit up is what it is all about." Cone said.
On Monday, Dec. 10, each of the Atlanta Falcons Community All-Star winners will be recognized at the annual Community Honors dinner and one will be named the 2012 Atlanta Falcons Man of the Year award.
