FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons (5-3) will face the Dallas Cowboys (3-4) for the first time in three seasons at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
Atlanta has lost the last three meetings against the Cowboys, and it trails the all-time, regular-season series 11-17. Kirk Cousins has also lost his previous three games to Dallas, most recently in 2022. Cousins is no stranger to the franchise he's about to face, having for Dallas' division rival in Washington for six seasons.
However, these are two different teams, and Sunday presents a whole new opportunity for the Falcons.
Atlanta is coming off a divisional win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers while the Cowboys lost their most recent game to the San Francisco 49ers. Both were one score nail-biters. The Falcons held on to keep the lead, and the Cowboys' comeback efforts fell short in the final minutes.
