The Atlanta Falcons today announced that defensive tackle Peria Jerry has decided to retire from the NFL.
Jerry, 6-2, 295 pounds, was selected by the Falcons in the first round (24th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft. After missing most of his rookie season with an injury, he totaled 79 tackles (46 solo), 5.5 sacks, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, and three passes defensed during his career.
