The last time these two clubs met in the preseason was 2004, when Washington rolled away with a 27-0 win in FedEx Field. The Browns lead the preseason matchup 6-5 and have won their last four preseason contests against the Falcons.
Atlanta faces back-to-back road games as the Falcons will travel to Miami for the second consecutive preseason to take on the Dolphins at Sun Life Stadium in a nationally televised game on NBC. The Dolphins recorded a 13-9 win over the Falcons last season, and this season the two teams will square off for the 15th time – fifth time in six years – during the preseason. The all-time preseason series between the two clubs is tied 7-7. The Falcons will face the Jacksonville Jaguars in their final preseason game in the Georgia Dome. This will be the sixth time in the last seven years and the 12th time overall these two have faced each other in the preseason. Atlanta won the last preseason matchup in 2014, 24-14, but Jacksonville owns a 7-4 advantage in the all-time preseason series.
