FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. – The Falcons have signed defensive tackle Michael Bennett to a reserve/futures contract.
Bennett played in two games with the Falcons in 2018 where he recorded five tackles and one sack before being waived on Oct. 30.

A reserve/futures contract gives the Falcons the claiming rights to these players for the following season. By signing them to this contract, they don't count against the cap and total roster number until next the 90-man roster is announced. The only players eligible to sign this type of contract are players who are not on the active roster at the end of Week 17. This gives teams a chance to keep players who were on their practice squads around for the next year until the 53-man roster is announced
