The Atlanta Falcons today announced that they have placed wide receiver Julio Jones on injured reserve and signed wide receiver Brian Robiskie.
Jones, 6-3, 220 pounds, was selected by the Falcons in the first round (sixth overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft. He posted an NFL-leading 41 receptions for 580 yards with two touchdowns through the first five games of 2013. Jones earned his first career Pro Bowl selection in 2012 after catching 79 passes for 1,198 yards with 10 touchdowns. In two-plus seasons with the Falcons, the Alabama product has totaled 174 receptions for 2,737 yards and 20 touchdowns.
Robiskie, 6-4, 212 pounds, was originally selected by the Cleveland Browns in the second round (36th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft out of The Ohio State University. He has appeared in 37 games with the Browns and Lions, including 14 starts while totaling 43 receptions for 485 yards and four touchdowns. Robiskie caught 127 passes for 1,866 yards with 24 touchdowns in four seasons with the Buckeyes, helping Ohio State reach the 2008 BCS National Championship Game.
