After providing sound protection for quarterback Matt Ryan during their time in the preseason, Atlanta's starting offensive line sprung a leak in the first half against the Dolphins.
The starting O-line of Sam Baker, Justin Blalock, Todd McClure, Garrett Reynolds and Tyson Clabo have not allowed a sack of Ryan through two games of the exhibition season. Dolphins pass-rushing linebacker Cameron Wake sacked Ryan twice in the game's first half.
Ryan was still efficient leading the offense despite the pressure from Wake. He finished the opening half 12-for-18 with 162 yards passing.
Rookie right guard Peter Konz was part of a rotation with Reynolds in the first half as the Falcons search for the right mix of five players to man the line that will protect Ryan this season.
