The Atlanta Falcons today announced a new season-ticket program designed to provide deserving families the opportunity to create a special memory with their son or daughter by attending a Falcons home game. Titled "RISE UP and Share," the program has a unique twist in that it enlists Falcons season ticket holders and other fans to provide this opportunity through the purchase of a limited number of season tickets, which are priced at $350 each.
RISE UP and Share is the brainchild of Falcons Limited Partner Derek Smith, who was quickly joined by Limited Partners Ron Canakaris, Doug Hertz, John Imlay and Eddie Mendel in being the first purchasers of these special tickets.
"One of my greatest memories growing up was going to a professional sporting event with my dad," Smith said. "We would like to help others who might not be able to afford it themselves create those special memories. We hope Falcons fans will step up, either individually or by pooling resources with their friends or family, to make this program a success."
The team has set aside 100 season tickets for each game, which means a total of 1,000 children and parents or guardians have the opportunity to attend a Falcons game this season. The program will be administered through the Falcons Youth Foundation, which will coordinate with non-profit partners that have the best connections to worthy families. The purchase of tickets through this program is tax deductible.
