Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez finished the contest with eight receptions for 72 yards. In the third quarter, he caught his fifth pass of the game and set a new single-season reception mark for a tight end in franchise history. Gonzalez who now holds 69 receptions, topped Alge Crumpler's old record of 66 which he set in 2005. * Atlanta wide receiver Roddy White totaled 104 receiving yards on nine receptions in a loss to Philadelphia. The 100-yard contest is the third for White this season and the 15th of his career. Entering the game he ranked seventh in the conference in receiving yardage. * At the end of the first half of play, wide receiver Roddy White totaled three receptions for 62 yards, which marked the third-highest first half receiving total for any member of the Falcons this season. He contributed with long catches of 23 and 35 yards * On the last play of the game, wide receiver Roddy White caught his career-best eighth touchdown of the season. It was also the eighth time in his career he caught touchdowns in back-to-back games. * Rookie defensive end Lawrence Sidbury recorded his first career sack after dropping Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb late into the second quarter. The sack came on a third down and forced a Philadelphia punt. * Defensive end Kroy Biermann added his team-leading fifth sack of the season which was also the second for the Falcons in the game when he dropped McNabb for a five-yard loss in the fourth quarter. * With his first catch of the game in the second quarter, tight end Tony Gonzalez improved his streak of consecutive games with a reception to 143. * In his first start of the season, quarterback Chris Redman threw for 235 yards and one touchdown. It was the second consecutive game he topped the 200-yard passing mark. * Atlanta converted two of four fourth down conversions against the Eagles and this season has now converted 12 of 16 for a 75 percent efficiency. Heading into the game, the Falcons forth down efficiency ranked first in the NFL. * Kicker Matt Bryant notched his first point as a member of the Falcons on a PAT following a Roddy White touchdown at the end of the game.
