Each week, AtlantaFalcons.com will list the Falcons' key starters with their projected fantasy football points. With the Falcons taking each week one game at a time, you may be in the same spot in your league. So take a deep breath, relax and look at this week's fantasy football point projections below:
Quarterback: Matt Ryan
NFL: 14.30
ESPN: 9
CBS Sports: 12.6
Comments: QB Matt Ryan has struggled for the past two weeks to get double-digit numbers in fantasy leagues. He is going against a tough defense that doesn't make it easy to throw against. Seattle's defense is tied for No. 1 in the NFL with 13 interceptions. Unless you have absolutely no other option, it's best to keep Ryan on your bench this week. SIT HIM
Running Back: Steven Jackson
NFL: 6.40
ESPN: 5
CBS Sports: 9
Comments: RB Steven Jackson rushed for 57 yards on 13 carries last week against the Panthers. He looked to be much stronger than the week prior and even had a TD that was called back because of a penalty. While Seattle has had issues stopping the run, I still don't think this is the best week to start Jackson or keep him in your RB1 slot. SIT HIM
Wide Receiver:Harry Douglas
NFL: 12.60
ESPN: 6
CBS Sports: 7.8
Comments: Harry Douglas has been a reliable receiver for Ryan the past two weeks. Last week wasn't as explosive as he's been, but he still had 82 yards on three catches. For this week, I'd put him towards the bottom end of starting receivers for your league. SIT HIM
Tight End: Tony Gonzalez
NFL: 13.40
ESPN: 12
CBS Sports: 8.2
Comments: TE Tony Gonzalez has spent most of this season double teams by opposing defenses. Despite having this issue, there may not be anyone more reliable than Gonzalez on your roster. He had 81 yards and a touchdown last week. While the Seahawks secondary is no joke, Gonzalez is still a strong TE1 that you should keep in your starting lineup. START HIM
Kicker:Matt Bryant
NFL: 5
ESPN: 4
CBS Sports: 5.2
Comments: While K Matt Bryant usually has success at home, there may be better options available in your league. So far on the season, Bryant has 12 field goals and 20 extra points and last week he had one field goal and one extra point. Keeping him as a starter is a risk, but it's hard to sit such a dependable kicker on his turf. COIN TOSS
Defense/Special Teams: Atlanta Falcons
NFL: 1
ESPN: 1
CBS Sports: 3.9
Comments: The Falcons defense has forced some turnovers, but also given up points lately. While there are promising young stars on the defensive side of the ball, they aren't putting up strong fantasy football numbers. The Falcons have allowed the second-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers at home this season. It's best to keep the Falcons defense on the bench this week. SIT THEM
