Each week, AtlantaFalcons.com will list the Falcons' key starters with their projected fantasy football points. With the Falcons taking each week one game at a time, you may be in the same spot in your league. So take a deep breath, relax and look at this week's fantasy football point projections below:
Quarterback: Matt Ryan
Comments: QB Matt Ryan has won eight of his past 10 starts against Tampa Bay. In the last meeting, Ryan completed 20 of 26 for 273 yards with three touchdowns and zero interceptions. Through his career, Ryan has put up great numbers against the Buccaneers and I don't see that changing this week. Not to mention that Ryan will have WR Roddy White in this game. START HIM.
Running Back:Steven Jackson
NFL: 18.10
ESPN: 6
Comments: The Bucs have a pretty good run defense. Since RB Steven Jackson has been struggling to get a solid run game the past few weeks, it may be best to bench him this week. Keep in mind that RB Jacquizz Rodgers had two touchdowns vs. the Buccaneers in the last meeting, so it's not impossible to run the ball on this team. At this time, Jackson shouldn't be a RB1 on your roster. SIT HIM.
Wide Receiver: Roddy White
Comments: WR Roddy White returned last week and caught one pass for 20 yards. While he's always been a reliable target for QB Matt Ryan, this may be a tough week to have him as your WR1. CB Darrelle Revis is starting to figure out his way in Tampa Bay. But, the Bucs have given up the 15th most fantasy points to wide receivers this season. So, this decision is definitely a COIN TOSS.
Wide Receiver: Harry Douglas
Comments: The last time these teams met, WR Harry Douglas had seven receptions for 149 yards and a touchdown. Douglas will likely be covered by CB Darrelle Revis now that he's becoming the top receiver. As a WR2 option, Douglas is solid. START HIM.
Defense/Special Teams:Atlanta Falcons
ESPN: 6
Comments:Atlanta had a tough time containing WR Vincent Jackson in its last game with the Buccaneers. If there was ever a game where the Falcons game should do well, it is this one. They wont put up astounding numbers, but they are good enough to start if your options are limited. COIN TOSS
