FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- Dan Quinn announced a couple of updates on the Falcons' injury front during his press conference on Thursday.
Wide receiver Julio Jones was sent home from the team's practice facility due to an illness, which Quinn explained has been going around this week. Despite Jones' absence on Thursday, Quinn said he is expected to play on Sunday.
"Julio was sent home sick today," Quinn said. "We fully expect him to be back tomorrow and get going for Sunday ... A couple of guys are dealing with flu-like symptoms. A cold and the things that go along with some of those."
The other injury-related news Quinn had to share was that Terrell McClain has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals due to a toe injury. McClain has 17 tackles this season to go along with one sack and one tackle for a loss.
"McClain didn't practice [because] of his toe," Quinn said. "And that will be again this week, he won't practice. He's been dealing with the toe, and we'll hold him this week."
