Falcons Make Roster Moves After Minicamp

The Atlanta Falcons today announced that they have signed tackle Matt Huffer and defensive back Jonathon Mincy and waived defensive tackle Chris Brown, cornerback Jordan Ozerities, and wide receiver Joshua Stangby.

Huffer, 6-6, 300 pounds, was a three year starter at left tackle at South Dakota. He played in 41 career games for the Coyotes and earned honorable mention all-conference honors as a sophomore in 2012. Huffer is a native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and attended Washington High School.

Mincy, 5-10, 196 pounds, was a three year starter at Auburn where he collared 211 career tackles. He was named a second team All-SEC selection by the conferences coaches in 2014. Mincy is a native of Decatur, Georgia and attended Southwest DeKalb High School

Brown, 6-3, 333 pounds, played at Tarleton State and clocked a 5.52 in the 40-yard dash, a 26-1/2-inch vertical and 8'2" in the broad jump, as well as a 5.06 20-yard short shuttle and an 8.16 second mark in the three-cone drill at his pro day.

Ozerities, 5-10, 186 pounds, played in 47 games, including 28 starts for Central Florida while totaling 164 tackles (111 solo), nine tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, six interceptions two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and 19 passes defensed.

Stangby, 5-11, 185 pounds, earned All-KCAC honors for the second straight season after posting 52 receptions for 958 yards and 13 touchdowns for Ottawa University in 2014.
