Falcons Name Eight to Practice Squad

The Atlanta Falcons today announced that they have signed FB Patrick DiMarco, QB Seth Doege, WR Darius Johnson, CB Jordan Mabin, G Phillipkeith Manley, DT Adam Replogle, WR James Rodgers, and TE Mickey Shuler to the practice squad.

DiMarco, 6-1, 234 pounds, was originally signed by the San Diego Chargers as a college free agent out of South Carolina following the 2011 NFL Draft. He played in five games with four starts as a member of the Kansas City Chiefs in 2012.

Doege, 6-1, 197 pounds, was signed by the Falcons as a college free agent on April 29, 2013 out of Texas Tech. He was named the MVP of the Meineke Car Care Bowl after leading the Red Raiders to a win completing 31 of 45 passes for 271 yards with one touchdown.

Johnson, 5-10, 175 pounds, was signed by the Falcons as a college free agent out of Southern Methodist on April 29, 2013. He was named the MVP in back-to-back bowl games for the Mustangs, including the 2011 BVAA Compass Bowl.

Mabin, 5-11, 180 pounds, was originally signed as a college free agent by the Baltimore Ravens out of Northwestern following the 2012 NFL Draft. He spent time as a practice squad player for the Ravens, prior to signing with the Cleveland Browns for the final week of the 2012 season.

Manley, 6-5, 309 pounds, was signed by the Falcons as a college free agent out of Toledo on April 30, 2012. He served as a member of the Falcons practice squad before finishing the season on the club's active roster.

Replogle, 6-3, 294 pounds, was signed by the Falcons as a college free agent out of Indiana on April 29, 2013. He posted 184 tackles (95 solo), 28.5 tackles for loss, 15 sacks, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery during his four seasons with the Hoosiers.

Rodgers, 5-7, 188 pounds, was signed by the Falcons as a college free agent out of Oregon State on April 30, 2012. He served as a member of the Falcons practice squad in 2012.

Shuler, 6-4, 247 pounds, was originally selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the seventh round (214 overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft. He played in six games with two starts as a member of the Miami Dolphins in 2010, catching two passes for 44 yards. Shuler spent the 2011 season with the Vikings seeing time on the practice squad and active roster before spending most of the 2012 season on the Oakland Raiders practice squad.
