The NFL Draft is officially over but there are still several dates Falcons fans should keep in mind as the summer rolls along.
With the start of minicamp, organized team activities and training camp, football will be back in fans' lives sooner than they may expect. Here are some key upcoming dates for Falcons fans to know.
Rookie minicamp
- Dates: May 10-11
Rookie minicamp is the first opportunity for the Falcons' 2019 rookie class to get a taste of life in the NFL and learn the playbook prior to the start of full-team activities.
Organized team activities
- Dates: May 20-21, 23, 29-31
Per the collective bargaining agreement, teams may conduct 7-on-7, 9-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills during OTAs, but no live contact is permitted.
Mandatory minicamp
- Dates: June 11-13
This is a mandatory minicamp for veteran players that is held during the final phase of offseason workouts.
Training camp
- Dates: Mid-July
The exact date for the Falcons' 2019 minicamp is not yet known at this time, but the team is allowed to begin full-team training camp 15 days prior to their first preseason game.
Hall of Fame Game
- Date: Aug. 1
The Falcons will open the 2019 preseason in the Hall of Fame Game against the Denver Broncos on Aug. 1 at 8 p.m. ET.
