NFL Network's annual *Top 100 Players *series is underway for 2015, and Wednesday night, one member of the Falcons will be revealed when the program resumes at 9 p.m. ET. According to the station, this Falcon is an offensive player who's appeared on the list in previous years. He'll be slotted somewhere between No. 80-71 overall.
One feasible choice is Matt Ryan. The veteran quarterback is coming off a season in which he threw for 4,694 yards, 28 touchdowns and a 66.1 completion percentage. Ryan's impressive year earned him the fifth-highest QB grade on Pro Football Focus and, thanks to a dominant Week 1, the record for most passing yards by a Falcons QB in a single game (448).
Julio Jones could be the player, as well. Atlanta's star wide out tallied 1,593 receiving yards and 553 yards after catch, good for third and eighth in the NFL, respectively. Jones also hauled in 31 receptions of 20-plus yards, tops in the league.
Devin Hester, one of the more versatile and dangerous out there, may be worthy of a top 100 spot. Not only did he gain 504 receiving yards — he continued to be one of the sport's best kick/punt returner and set the all-time mark for return TDs (20), surpassing former Falcon Deion Sanders.
Roddy White is another possibility. The 33-year-old WR bounced back from an injury-plagued 2013 by registering 921 yards through the air and a team-high seven touchdown catches. Additionally, White finished second on the Falcons in receptions, total yards from scrimmage and yards per catch.
