FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons announced Friday that they have released cornerback Kevin King.

King, 29, joined the Falcons as a free agent this offseason. The former second-round pick had previously been a starter for the Green Bay Packers before stepping away from football due to personal reasons in 2022 and then tearing his Achilles while training for the season in 2023. In training camp King was one of the standout players for Atlanta's defense and highlighted his versatility by playing multiple roles. King has played five snaps for the Falcons on defense so far in 2024, and he's played 41 snaps on special teams.

The Falcons will play their third-straight division game on Sunday when they take on the Carolina Panthers at 4:25 p.m. ET inside of Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. You can find all the information you need to catch the game here.
