Falcons release inactives list ahead of Week 7 matchup with Seattle Seahawks

Make final decision on safety Justin Simmons' status.

ATLANTA — The Falcons received some good news in pregame warm ups regarding one Justin Simmons.

After being listed as questionable Friday with a hamstring injury, the starting safety got the all-clear prior to the start of Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks. He was not included on the Falcons' inactives list meaning he is available to Atlanta in the Week 7 contest.

As for who is on the list, the Falcons had already ruled out inside linebacker Troy Andersen with a lingering knee injury that has kept him off the field for three games now (including Sunday's). Atlanta also moved outside linebacker Lorenzo Carter to injured reserve Saturday with a concussion, so he will not show up on the inactive list, but will also not be available to the Falcons for — at minimum — four games.

Atlanta will also be without cornerback Antonio Hamilton Sr., who was on the injury report this week with a back injury. When the organization placed Carter on injured reserve they signed cornerback Kevin King to the active 53-man roster. So, they still are solid in defensive back depth even without Hamilton available on game day.

Here is the full list of Falcons inactives for Week 7's matchup with the Seahawks:

CB Antonio Hamilton Sr.

ILB Troy Andersen

DL Brandon Dorlus

OL Jovaughn Gwyn

OL Elijah Wilkinson

T Brandon Parker

DL Kentavius Street
