Falcons return to practice relatively healthy following bye week

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- Atlanta's bye week appears to have occurred at the most opportune time given the amount of injuries the Falcons were dealing with.

Following the 23-17 loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 4, five of Atlanta's starters were dealing with injuries of some sort: Ryan Schraeder (concussion), Ricardo Allen (concussion), Julio Jones (hip flexor), Mohamed Sanu (hamstring) and Vic Beasley (hamstring).

"It's a perfect time for us to reset," Falcons coach Dan Quinn said. "It was great to have a full roster of guys back and battling for it."

Quinn did not specify each player's participation level, but did say his team only had one player not participating in in practice on Monday.

However, Quinn specifically mentioned how pleased he was to get Ricardo Allen, Ryan Schraeder and Vic Beasley back practicing.

Jones was catching passes from Matt Ryan with his helmet on during the first portion of the practice while Sanu was working off to the side with another injured Falcon, defensive lineman Courtney Upshaw (ankle/knee).

The Falcons' (3-1) first injury report will be released on Wednesday as the team prepares for a home matchup against the Miami Dolphins (2-2).
