For the third time in franchise history, Atlanta will play on Thanksgiving Day. The Falcons will travel to New Orleans for a showdown with their rivals on Nov. 22. An 8:20 pm ET kickoff is scheduled at Mercedes-Benz Superdome. The Falcons are 1-1 on Thanksgiving, with the last game taking place in 2007 against the Indianapolis Colts.
The Falcons and Saints rivalry has become one of the league's best over the years, with the Falcons currently leading the all-time series 51-46. In 2017, both the Saints and Falcons made the playoffs and both lost in the divisional round after splitting the series 1-1 with both teams home teams winning.
This game will be the second matchup of the year for these two NFC South rivals, with the first one taking place in Week 3 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
