In 2016, the Falcons coupled the league's top offense with a young defense that played its best football late in the season to make a run that went all the way to the Super Bowl.
So it's no surprise that in 2017, the world will have many chances to watch Dan Quinn's team compete under a bright spotlight.

Atlanta is slated to play five prime-time games this year -- two at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and three on the road.
Atlanta's first nationally televised contest of the campaign will take place on Sept. 17 vs. Green Bay in the first official game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The Falcons will later host the Saints on Thursday Night Football, travel to Tampa and Seattle for Monday Night tilts and, in a rematch of Super Bowl LI, take on New England in Foxboro, Mass.
With a handful of primetime appearances, the Falcons will receive a lot of well-earned exposure after capturing last year's NFC crown. Atlanta made two primetime appearances during each of the last three regular seasons. The last time they played five such games was in 2013.
