*Each week, AtlantaFalcons.com contributing writer Daniel Cox examines the NFL experts and their Falcons picks and compiles it all to see who believes the most in the Atlanta Falcons. Six pundits are tied for the best record at 10-2, and every pundit we keep track of pick the Falcons to beat the Carolina Panthers. *
Unanimous.
For the first time this season, every pundit picked the Falcons.
It's unprecedented, especially considering Adam Schefter has picked the Cardinals, the Bengals and the Rams to defeat the Falcons.
How's that working out for you, Adam?
Yes, the buzz words this week are "trap game," but the Falcons don't fall into such ambushes.
Neither are the pundits this week.
The six-way tie at the top remains, and after losing last week, Schefter is no longer battling Peter King for the league's cellar. Shannon Sharpe and Solomon Wilcots are at 6-5, but both of them failed to pick one week on NFL.com, thus ESPN's Insider holds the current title of the worst Falcons picker.
"This game has "trap" tattooed on its forehead. If the Falcons weren't scrambling to hold off the Saints, the NFC South leaders could indeed fall right into it. But the Falcons are too good and the Panthers are too bad and the stakes are too high for the most overlooked of the elite NFL teams in 2010."- Mike Florio, ProFootballTalk.com's Week 14 picks * "Atlanta's final four games are bookended by matches against the 1-11 Panthers. Sweet. How exactly does Atlanta lose home-field in the NFC?" - Peter King, SI.com's Weekend Pickoff * "This week's Panthers promotion: If you buy a ticket, you can play." -Jeff Schultz, *AJC*' Blog.
